BMW Style 5's on a 240

I PMed him about those, I have a feeling shipping might be way too much though.

I bought these e34 Style 5s because they were cheap and local and didn't anticipate having so much trouble trying to find someone to re-drill them.

Go get 'em. Long day trip, but it might be worth it. Gotta work for what you want.

Should only be ~ $100, about on par with your mount and balance when you do buy tires, I don't see a problem.

That said a re-drill here is $125 each at the one shop that won't screw up your wheels...

Huh, that's pretty reasonable, I would have thought shipping would be way more than that. Like I said, I PMed him, I'll see what he says.

Lulz the only question is 'Can marv find the right boxes?'

Apparently somebody beat me to Marv's wheels so I went ahead and went the adapter route and I think it turned out pretty good.

A little bit of rub on the back part of the rear fender when I go over bumps, but I'm going to try to roll them this weekend to see if that takes care of it.

Definitely would like to get some lower profile tires eventually to ease the balloon tire look and lower it down a little bit.

Glad you got it sorted. Keep in mind that rear lip is thick. Trimming it a touch with the angle grinder is almost easier than rolling sometimes. I cut mine and then hammered it flush with a 5 lb sledge.

Thanks, I was gonna try the roller first and if that doesn't work, I might resort to the Sawzall and the BFH. I think I might also try to remove the plastic trim/mudflap on the rear part of the fender since I think it is rubbing there.

No regrets once past the point of no return

Everyone has opinions on looks, but I think flush is the way to go regardless of how you get there.

Will you have to roll fenders? Yes. Is it worth it? Yes.
what front lip is that?
