  • I have an M47. It has held up so far, but I guess we shall see about that on the 20th. The clutch gave way when I started boosting. Its not terrible, but I can feel it giving up in third under high load. I'm putting a new clutch in it this week and will be drifting it with my new turbo stuffs. I hope it holds. Thanks for the kind words. Where are you located?
What's up dude? I have a 1990 Volvo 240 DL, M47 5spd, b230. I almost shat myself when I found your thread, I've been wanting to do the same thing with my sedan..some grassroots drifting! Thanks for making an awesome thread, I may be contacting you with a few questions in the future. I need to get a 2nd car before I even think about a clutch kick in this thing haha. I may have skipped over it, but which trans do you use? I've heard that the M46 & M47's are weak and susceptible to sudden torque, but I see you were able to drift it with just a welded diff!! How about the clutch? So many questions. But thanks!!
it is +18 in the front with 25mm adapter -10 with 15mm rear. motorsports tech/adaptech made the adapters for me. that photo there has 205/50-16 all around. i ran it with 225/50-16 rear and 205/55-16 front for a minute but it rubbed pretty good. there are pics of the old tire setup on that showroom thread i started.
