Hell yeah! I'd love to see this thing in person

The way I keep looking at Miatas on CL lately I might be part of that clique by then.

boostdemon 03-26-2020 04:04 PM

745

KwikBrik245 03-27-2020 05:03 PM

Hmmm. I wonder if the 245 can dolly the LS1 744 from Cleveland, OH?

propav8r 03-27-2020 06:14 PM

It's an LS, meaning it's more reliable than any redblock. Just drive it.

You'd hate having to drag a dolly up the hills up here anyway.

KwikBrik245 03-28-2020 08:09 AM

Very true, but I would love to bring two of my cars (especially with one towing the other). One car just makes more sense. So, the question becomes do I bring the Sleeper 744, or the Sleepable 245? Twin turbos, or none? lol :bummies:

Whatever you bring, just make sure it can turn.

Brakes are good and the tires fair.

JohnMc 03-30-2020 10:31 AM

Heh, the unvented front discs and single circuit brakes on the PV were making me a little nervous a couple of years ago. The original drums would have been toast in no time.

Been thinking about MountainMeet in light of current events, and barring an alien invasion in July, the meet will go ahead as planned.

COVID cases are still escalating in some areas, NC included, but that seems to be because of increased testing. The data for most states shows the percent-positive of tests trending down significantly: https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/testing/...ual-states/usa

Of course, I expect y'all to be smart. If you're sick, have had close contact with a positive case, are exhibiting symptoms, or are waiting for the results of a COVID test to come back, do us all a favor and stay home.

So all that said, I'm gonna start working up a menu and a sticker design here in the next little bit, and I'll start collecting money too.

Expect the food price to go up marginally this year. Meat is just more expensive now that it has been. In past years, I've asked for $15/day per person. This year will likely be $20.

This is as good of a place to reiterate the new rule for this year: If ya don't pay, ya don't eat.

linuxman51 06-08-2020 01:39 AM

I'm charging you $20 a day for the avatar. just sayin'

Take it out of my paycheck.

propav8r 06-26-2020 10:41 AM

Looks like MountainMeet is cancelled. Just got an email this morning that they've cancelled our dates.

Wren 06-26-2020 11:23 AM

Oh, man. Mountain Meet has become the only thing that has helped me make it through the Summer in recent years.

kyote 06-26-2020 12:14 PM

ffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

JohnMc 06-26-2020 12:41 PM

Fine, I'll just get stupid drunk and sleep out in my *own* yard. Harumph!
