S60R brakes on a 240

Wow .. Swe posted a link of SUPER CHEAP rear adapters. They seem to cost about 45 euros per set!! I am not sure though if they offer front adapters, so i will shoot them an email.

They also have S60R front + rear rotors for 65 euros per piece, don't know what brand but they sound cheap as well !!

verified? how's the quality?

not s60r but they use s60r rotors front and rear and cost me less than a s60r swap ( I had the R adapters but never was able to find cheep calipers.)

also if you go this route, they bearly clear my 17x8 an 17x9 bbs LM's basically the same offset as hackster.

I shot RSI an email for information about the rear adapters. They are selling an R-Big-Brake-Adapter-Kit for $150, so i suppose it could be front+rear. If not, will head to a machine shop

I emailed them too. Just got confirmation this afternoon that RSI will be coming out with rear adapters for R-calipers soon. No ETA...but there will be a four piece set available on their website soon(ish).

anybody else bought the Retro Turbo handbrake adaptor kit?

i have it, but have no idea what intention he had making it when he did not supply any guide how to use it...
have been testing a lot of combinations on it but it is basicly a bigger metal part for where the brakeshooes rest and the expander come out and a similar distancemetall part like the one that should be there for S60R anyways... can post pictures later if so...

but adding a 240 brake disc on the inside of the S60R disk is not an option for me... i want a fully functioning R brake\handbrake on my 242 project...

For this- I had a set of custom pads made. The 240 inner portion of a hand brake shoe, was welded to the outer shoe portion of an S60. Allows use of 240 hand brake stuff equipment, inside an R rotor.

That sound like a pretty good solution... I need pictures and how to
Have friends that is good at machining and welding so it can be done pretty fast after i see how :-)

That or modify the parking shoes which sounds more sketchy to me.

thats the parking brake, thats how volvo does it on the 240 except one piece. it will only change your offset like 5mm...

My offset is allready modified to the approved limit with original Volvo 240 spacers so i cant use another 5mm there :-)
The brakeshoes i think is a better solution as they is stationary :-)

There is another option that I don't recommend :oogle: machine the face of the 240 rotor completely out and weld in the 240 barrel into the inside s60r rotor.
