Need help with first start megasquirt 1

You can also search the megasquirt forums. Lots of results in my search at Google.

I have 12 v in and ground, the signal out is less than 4v (3.45). There is a resistor on the 12 v in 1k 10olhm or something like that.

Ms needs at least 5v yeah?

So I wired up my hall as the diagram shown by swedefiend and cranked it a few times. I notice tunerstudio disconnects when cranking, and my fuel pump relay rapidly clicks. I also noticed at this time my tach would jump but wasn't consistent shortly after that it quit altogether. So I probed the signal wire and get a consistent 12.45 even when the window passes the hall

If I unplug the 12v and 1k resistor going to the signal wire I get a steady 3.51v, again it doesn't change when the window passes the hall. Does this mean my hall sensor crapped out?
