Default Carlisle Import & Performance Nationals May 17th - 19th

Didn't see a thread for Carlisle so I figured I would start one. Its about a month and a half away. Gives ample time to plan travelling and coordinate with others. Who will be going?

Where will everyone be coming from? I live in NJ and if you are coming from NY, CT or above you can definitely stop by my pad if need be

I'm at the south end of Delaware. I usually take the baltimore route, sometimes return through Lancaster. I haven't gone via Lancaster in a while, thought about that this year.

I purchased a ticket earlier this week. Should be driving out from Chicago area in a group of whiteblock swapped 242s assuming all goes well.

I'm going to do my damnedest to have the 142 there.
I get home on May 3 and the show is the 17-19, which gives me 2 weeks to be ready.
F***.

Hope to go, but I am having some knee problems, will find out tomorrow, what and when, what is in store for me. Left knee was smashed in a car wreck when I hit a guy head on that ran a stop sign, that was 40 years ago and time has taken it's toll.

$40 for camping seems a bit steep. Are people just staying in town these days?

I haven't been in several years, probably won't this year.

I'm staying at a hotel in Mechanicsburg. Wasn't expensive. If they want me to pay $40 for camping plus the regular ticket fee, ill just buy the ticket and put that 40 bucks towards an actual bed lol

You sure? I'm seeing $40 for non-judged parking and $65 for judged...

Yea, its $40. I don't know where they got $80 from. Maybe for the unjudged pass plus camping?

To clarify, cost is only part of it. The carlisle people have added a few things (the pint glass is nice, and more “events” are good for the majority. But I’m not interested in any of the contests. The burnout contest is ok, but bikinis, limbo, noise, etc. it’s gone to the ricers, for lack of a better term.
And speaking of ricers.. they are the number one reason i haven’t enjoyed it as much lately. It’s like they are “trolling” the crowds and organizers constantly. Not a new thing in the grand scheme, but it’s more concentrated and the level is intense. I’ll go to the OC MD cruise or Dirtfest. Or both.

Well, I nuked 5 pistons in my engine. 242 will not be accompanying me this weekend, but I'll still be there. Taking my 2011 535i comfy cruiser instead.
