![]() Hello all,
I am trying to clean and remove the throttle body on my 1990 Volvo 244 and I cannot figure out what kind of wrench will fit the upper right nut to loosen and ultimately remove the throttle body. All the directions I can find on the subject say use a wrench to loosen and remove the three nuts that hold the throttle body to the intake manifold. The upper right nut is a tight fit but once loose it unthreads easily. Is there a certain type of wrench I can buy at an auto parts store that will fit this nut? |

![]() Snap-On box end 13mm will get it done. Easy peasy.
That said.... One can scrub up the throttle body with it in place. Wire brushy and some carb cleaner. Shop rag to wipe up.

![]() 12 point 13mm short wrench (~3.5"). Doesn't have to be short, but IMO, a 12 point is a must.
