Volvo 240 b230ft sparks

Hi all,

Just finishing a b230ft conversion on my wagon, got an issue it keeps blowing the ignition amplifier module 0227100124 gone through 2 so far and it only runs witb genuine bosch ones. has anyone vome across this and found out what was causing the problem?

LH2.4? With which EZK and which ECU? What coil?

How does is run otherwise?

Try disconnecting the red/white tach wire from the coil, leaving just blue +12v power wires and a red/white to the ignition module. If the tach wire is connected to +12v somewhere (i.e. plugged into small clock power), it can put a very big load on the ignition module and destroy it in a short time.
