Anyone use universal cruise control? Trying to find an 86-88 240 donor in the jy, with cruise control has been fruitless. Plus, I have heard the cruise control wasn't great those years anyway.

Rostra has a universal kit for $300. They assure me it will work. Thoughts?

The 2nd Gen Camaro guys seem to like the Rostra kits. However, they use one with a cable speedometer drive. I'm not sure on the flying magnet style.

I've used Rostra universals in lots of applications -- including the 5.0L that used to be in the 242. Worked beautifully. And, as it turns out, Rostra makes the Dakota Digital unit I'm using with the DBW LS in the car now. Works as well as the factory units in the DD's. With all of them I've used magnets on the driveshaft.
