Hi all!

I'm in the process of doing pads and rotors on my 1990 244, I decided it's time to replace the calipers too. I'm pretty sure I have Girling Calipers up front, and ATE in the rear, can y'all confirm? Guy from FCP Euro seemed to think they were ATE all around, but that doesn't seem to be the case from what I've found online.

Here are the calipers I'm planning to buy:

Yep. Girling front, ATE rear.

You can tell by the hardware. Girling calipers use a hairpin clip to retain the pins while ATE calipers have a barrel spring that isn't visible once installed.

F.y.i. Cheap remaned calipers can be more problems that the original...I wouldn't f&$@ with then unless they are failing, sticking, broken bleeders. Just my 2 cents

After almost 30 years I think all calipers that are out there are remaned by now. So just ones with a the best warranty. I get my at AutoZone ,one because they are local and two they come with lifetime warranty. When they go bad i order a new one. When it comes in I go the store with the old one is a plastic bag and swap it out right there.

Just a fyi for the new guy there's no reason to replace them of there's no problems but do what ya want, and replace then every few years

The only caliper that seems to go bad more often that any of the others is the rear right one. This has been my experience.

Thanks all!

I opted to replace them, as at least one is sticking, all are super rusty, and chunks came off when I did pads/rotors, and one starting leaking... At this point I have one bad in the rear, and one bad one in the front, might as well replace all at once! I'm not too worried about the remans.. What I have now is mad max tier.
