![]() ![]() Doing a custom paint job on my rain/winter tire Dracos to make them look like a multi-piece. Turned out better than I expected. This is my first time painting wheels. What Volvo center caps fit the center bore of these wheels? Going for for exposed chrome nut look. Last edited by BeaverMeat; 10-12-2020 at 11:26 PM.. |

![]() WWD?
The caps offered from iPd are too small by my measurements. Last edited by BeaverMeat; 10-13-2020 at 03:08 AM.. |

The wheels as offered on 850 Columba wheels have a centercap that will fit, or so I've been told (but have not verified).

That’s what I thought. Wasn’t too sure, I’m a new guy here. Depends if I can find a set. I may just get some cheap generic ones and slap a Volvo sticker on them. I used PVC pipe caps on my wife’s RAV4 winter steelies. |

Or some Virgo caps if you're feeling flush and frisky. ![]() Last edited by Redwood Chair; 10-14-2020 at 03:31 PM.. |

![]() If I can find a set for cheap...
Still on the fence if I should matte them or not. The glossy clear will fade over time |

![]() That’s the plan after I find a clean way to remove the paint to polish and clear the bare aluminum. So far the chemical paint remover attempts have been deemed unsuccessful on my practice rim. The clear comes off but that paint is a bitch. Next step Is good ol’ sanding the crap out of them.

Why paint them if your trying to remove the paint now? If your gonna call slapping down a layer of black rattle can refinishing I guess I'm more skillful then I thought |

Hey, it’s not like I just grabbed a can of Rustoleum and called it a day. re·fin·ish /rēˈfiniSH/ verb apply a new finish to (a surface or object). I “applied” a rattle can of primer/paint/clear “finish” to the “surface” of my wheel “object”. Last edited by BeaverMeat; 10-15-2020 at 02:11 AM.. |
