I've always wondered what this unplugged blue connector is for? It's above the battery. Anyone know?

Thanks guys.

NSS as in Neutral Safety Switch? Does my 940 with a stock M90 have this switch too? I don't think so, as it starts in gear too?

Correct, a manual car wouldn't have the neutral safety switch. If anything the manual cars sometimes have a clutch switch where you have to depress the clutch to start the car.
