1981 244 k-jet, removed entire exhaust, Inc manifold with the one wire O2 sensor

Replacing it with an Near new IPD exhaust and manifold from a 1993 that has the sensor near end of the downpipe, pre-cat.

Getting a new sensor, old was Rusty and stripped.

1. Any issues from placing the O2 sensor further downstream with k-jet?

2. Googling the Bosch# just found an eBay auction, no stores. Is there a more common modern replacement? universal? One better for a further downstream?

3. Can you use a heated one if you wire 12v+ from kpii?

You want a 3-wire heated O2 sensor since it will be a little ways away from the manifold heat. Universal is fine. I don't think it matters which way you hook up the 2 heater wires.

the 7-15 seconds difference between a heated sensor and the normal before it heats up will only kill a small amount of pregnant baby gay whales extrapolated over the life of the car..
Location is fine..

You really think the temp is going to significantly fall over just a few inches? Uh uh.
