Will there be drag racing on Friday or Saturdy? Street or track, I don't care which one.

A bunch of folks headed to Sac Raceway after the cars and coffee on Saturday morning. I just checked their schedule, test and tune starts at noon on the 27th.

You gonna finally drag your butt down here Ken?

Trying to get the 142 road worthy again for Davis. It'll have a for sale sign on it this time.

I mean, really if it's atleast 8 hours old, it doesn't matter. but a 5 a.m. in and out delivery would be double points

I'm working on it. I'd like to drive the new racier car. It runs now! But man is it a piece of sh#@ still. Driving it around the block turned up a long list of other things it needs to be driveable.

square tires
brakes are rusted to death
doesn't go remotely straight
doesn't have 4th gear.
The heater don't work.
I'm not even going to try the AC. That can make next years list.
Everything plastic breaks when you touch it.
So that's what happens when you get a free Volvo that had been sitting in a field for 10 years.

It could run a 12 though. Feels pretty stout already.

Enough excuses? I'll just bring some tools and make it a road trip Turbobrickstas style.

I'm taking I-80, so if I see you on the side of the road I'll be sure to take a picture, and then maybe stop.

Just make sure you point and laugh as well Tate. lol

That's not enough excuses Ken...you still have 6 weeks, more than enough time to wrap it all up....

I still gotta get a cut and buff on the wagon, get some tuning done to wake it up, and get a radiator and fan setup in the 140.

Thanks for the support. I don't need much encouragement to fix a Volvo on the side of the road.
