240/740 oil cooler on a B20

I have a B21, and it looks like an easy match for the filter housing/thermostat thing. If you need one hit me up, I have an extra I won't use. Not a fan of used oil coolers though, I used a new B&M for about $50 for Summiit.

Don't be such a ninny give it a rinse with kerosene.

Setrab is the bomb.

Edit;

I think cwdodson88 put a 700 remote arm that I sold him on his B20 in the Amazon wagon.

It can be done but it's a tight fit.

Mishimoto makes a more compact sandwich style oil cooler adapter/thermostat and they even have replacement elements in 160?, 185? and 200?. Just make sure to order the correct adapter nut as it doesn't come with the plate.

I put a 740 arm on the d24, I flipped it forward right over the sway bar. Oil cooler was then mounted below the radiator

I used one of these https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mishimoto-...oler-Sandwich-Plate-Thermostatic/321613842516

I chose that one because it has built-in thermostat and is relatively small.

I bought AN lines, fittings, and heat exchanger from Improved Racing. If I did it over again I wouldn't use braided lines - choose an option with less abrasive outer covering.

Under hard driving my oil temps get up to 210-ish. At a track day with boost I see things get up to 230-240 but it comes back down quickly.

The whole project was more expensive than I thought it would be. Good luck.

I see similar numbers under heavy boosting with a 240/740 thermo plate and seatrab cooler.
