well greg(blackbrick) and i represented. about 40 cars, lots of wrx's a sentra rally car, and an escort rally car. course was much bigger this time, and included a completely unplowed/grass/ice section. greg proved that his car definitely doesn't have a rev limiter! they're planning on doing another one in two weeks. check the website. it's a blast!

How were the tires you used this time, Jason? Did anyone get stuck? Hopefully I can make the next one!

i used a set of all seasons on the back which were an improvement. the course this time included a completely snow covered section which also added about 45 seconds of run time. a fiero gt got lightly stuck but a corner worker pushed him out. there was a lunch truck there this time and a photographer who was shooting cars for only 20 bucks. hope you can make the next one greg..

Early apex? I've never raced on snow, but I think you want to use as much of the course as you can to keep your speed up, since braking & accelerating is difficult. I'd aim the nose at the cone and rotate around it.

You northern guys have all the fun! I hope it snows for my rallycross this weekend.

You don't want to come to a stop, that's for damn sure! You don't want to get too tail happy either, I think you just want to keep it smooth and try and keep your car moving, keep your momentum!

If a part of the course starts showing a lot of ice and deep hard ruts, then try to steer around it, whether that means taking a corner wider or whatever.

:( The wintercross for this sunday 2-16 has been postponed due to lack of snow. It has been tenatively rescheduled for march 9, watch the website, www.cartct.com

Lack of snow? Wow, how did that happen? Did you not get the 12" of snow that we got in Boston last Friday? And isn't there supposed to be snow this Saturday, as well? Oh well, now my whole weekend will be free! :)

Ironic...the rallycross I was supposed to do on Feb. 16th was "...postponed due to weather and course conditions."

And I thought it would be more fun if a little snow fell this weekend, but they must not see it that way.

Well I took a ride up to the a/x lot to see what it looks like. The reason they said lack of snow is that all the snow we got here was of the light fluffy variety and for several days after there was strong winds. All of the snow is in a big drift down the end and the lot is just about bare. Anyhow there is a storm coming in for tomorrow and hopefully more later, we'll just hope for the best. 8)

There's already about three inches here in Boston and it's only been snowing for 4 hours. I hope CT is getting come of this.
