Well the turbo's been rebuilt recently according to the P.O. And it spools up nicely, and looks pretty clean under there so i take his word. Where to begin indeed...deff needs a detailing, and a trans output shaft seal and bushing, but nothing crazy that i know of. Getting up on my lift tomorrow after work to give it the full look-over.

I'm just wondering if this would be worth the swap or not. I'd like it to be as simple as possible with little down time 'cause i'd be doing this to my DD i need for work commuting.

No change needed...bolts right in with no modifications to driveshaft length. Volvo kept the relative position of the drive flanges in the same place between live axle and IRS.

Rebuilt as in hacked and welded back together? Or just modifing the u-joints?
