Wheel Considerations!

Hi all, I'll be in the market for new wheels quite soon and I'm trying to get an idea of wheels I should consider. I found this 940 on garaget and I made it my object of desire, I'm aiming to make my 940 the same, if not identical, then as similar as it can get. I know that's so unoriginal but, you know, the wheels on it just really get the job done! Anyways, I found out the manufacturer and model, they're Rondell Super DTM's. I checked ebay out and only found one set, but eh. I'm trying to find something local so I don't have to pay too much for shipping, but sometimes that can't always happen. Anyways, the most similar looking wheels I have been able to find are BBS RX's and RX II's and ASA AR1's. If you guys have any other one's I should consider, I'd really appreciate it!

Here's the 940 I'm seeking to produce  :

There isn't a US distributor for those wheels from what I remember, so you're pretty much not going to find anything local, just like that. You're probably going to want to consider doing a set of wheel adaptors to get something like a Nissan or bmw bolt pattern, that way you get into more choices for wheels like the ones mentioned above.

Thanks cuaz and Weeli, that's just the info I was looking for. I was not aware of the Volvo Triton/Propus wheels. They're really nice. I was looking for something with a bit of a deeper dish, but regardless, I think they'd get the job done quite nicely, and are probably much easier to find here in the U.S.

Yeah I just bought a set of 18x8.5 BBS RXII with an offset of 22mm. Used. Buying them new is expensive, Like 2-3000 expensive.
The other options include propus, but those need adapters (figure $200-300 depending on quality, used or new, etc...) and the wheels themselves are pretty sought after. Keep in mind these wheels have no dish, and there's two versions, propus and propus C - Propus are 7" wide, propus C are 7.5" wide. Both are only 17"
There's an 18" available, but I forget the name and they're quite rare and once again, expensive. I've seen them sell with used tires for $1200-1500 on VolvoSpeed.
The other option is that RSI is coming out with a BBS LM Replica wheel. 18x8 or 18x9" are going to be choices, and they seem to be targeting a value of about $800 brand new. Not a bad deal. Fake two piece look. I think they're still taking pre-orders, but that's $800 and then you just have to get tires...
Finally, get any FWD offset wheel that matches what you want, and then get adapters made. There should be some ASA or cheap BBS reps available locally. Again, not sure if they'd have as much dish, so...
Basically just scour eBay and be patient? I found my wheels in the proper bolt pattern and offset for my 940 by searching 'jaguar BBS' in wheels and tires on eBay and including descriptions. Then just wait, mate, have like 5-10 different search terms you check up on every few days.

GrandmaSideways: Thanks for all the information. The BBS RSII's are pretty awesome, my friend was able to score a set at a Volkswagen meet for 600 used, with tires! The propus' are nice, but they seem harder to find, and I think a wheel with a bit of a deeper dish would compliment the 940 a bit better. The LM's are great and for 800 even as a rep, seems like a pretty good deal to me. For now though, unless I come across a deal I don't want to miss, I'm gonna browse ebay and stuff like you said. ASA's and other reps are easy to find, you're right, but as far as adapters go, I'm not to sure what to do there. Would I have to get them custom made, or can I find something online? Someone mentioned something to me about H&R wheel adapters? Thanks again!

uhhh H&R Trak+ are good adapters, but I personally prefer bolt on adapters. the only H&R I've found in 5x108 are unfortunately a type that require longer studs.
These usually come supplied with longer bolts for FWD cars, which lets face it, is where the market is.
