One of the first major changes with my car since i bought it. A nice new set of 19" x 8.5" Fusion Shadow Chrome wheels. A few minor teething problems with the back ones rubbing on the guards, got that fixed today. In a few weeks will get the springs and shocks done. I'm worried about more rubbing once it gets dropped. The place i got it done at didn't really wanna spend time with the car to sort out any issues, it's the first Volvo they've done, and are probably used to 30 minute jobs.

Overall, i think it suites, i'm pretty happy. And i better be after $2,400. Yeh, i know it's about the same value as my car itself, but it will be the hottest Volvo in the southern hemisphere one day ;) .

Tell me what u think, and if you know anything regarding issues/hints on lowering or anything relating to springs, shocks, guard rolling, sway bars etc....spill it on me.

-Dave.

i'm down with the 19's, but IMHO there are better looking wheels around

i tried these 19"s on my friends' 245...

lol, nah not those tacky wheels. i wanted something to take away the innocent looks, give it a bit of muscle, as well as look stylish and hot. i think i made the right choice.

now LOWER that thing!

That's the plan, to get it down low...but i'm worried about rubbing, and having to do mods to the inside of the wheel bays. I'm thinking of doing it myself, because it's been a prick of a job to find anyone who will touch these cars in my town. I'll keep looking around tho while i save up the $$ for the springs etc. Anyone else on this board with similar setup, know of any issues and stuff?

I know I didnt take my time, but I just thought Id put my comment in as to HOW hot it would be lowered...

Hey thanks for the pic, gives me a good idea. I have been having extremely vivid dreams about this car for years now, so i think ive already got it down pat. But thanks anyway, looks mad style.

I've never thought wheels could look too big on a 240, but that's it right there. It looks like a bling factory exploded. Nice work though. That's the first set of 19"s I've ever seen on a Volvo.

Fun with photo shop...

Shaved the door handles, and emblems, flat hood/worked grill, dumped the front lic plate, dropped the hell out of it and tinted the rear windows. God damn, I'd love to have that beast!

:-D

Ditto, I've always liked Black/dark wheels myself, but whatever floats your boat, they do look good, Now if you'd get it lowered, that will look badass!
