Cypress Green Sighting

Saw this several weeks ago. I was getting parts with a friend off of a junked '84 in the Victory Auto Wreckers yard ("near O'Hare" airport...). Some other guys arrived to also grab parts. I believe this is one guy's car. Saw it in the parking lot. YOHB?

That would be Cypress Green Metallic. Code 147. Kingsmere is less lime green.

Looks like a decent car, tho. Gotta laugh at the 700 series radio bracket being used for the deck, tho. Just use the 240 lower bracket like normal people.

It is. That site is incorrect. Code 136 is Kingsmere Green Metallic. Code 147 is Cypress Green Metallic. The car depicted is code 147. Swedishiron.com (a friend of mine who's local) owns an '81 245GLT in Cypress Green Metallic. It's the lighter green. It's also known as "Light Green Metallic" on paintscratch.com.

See here: http://www.volvotips.com/index.php/general/volvo-color-codes/

The 1980 GLE owner's manual has a Kingsmere Green 264 on the front.

Here's one from Europe:

Cypress Green Metallic (not to be confused with the much darker Cypress Green enamel used on 1972-76 cars):

Ooh. They're both nice.

Kingsmere thus looks a lot like other Volvo greens, but it's still pretty attractive.
