Im sorry, Burgerball is a registered trademark of me and the east coast ass kicking West Coast.

East Coast could be called SlowerBall? Special Olympics rally? Robin and Eric is our God-Ball?

You'll think of something lol.

10-13-2003, 07:31 PM
I guess when i was writing before, i was not loged in.
So the guest message is me..

And doug, are you being serious? haha

760T man
10-13-2003, 07:32 PM
Yeah doug- I'll think of not changing ****.

10-13-2003, 07:34 PM

Yeah doug- I'll think of not changing ****.

Daniel son, that post made NO sense.

lol, yes its registered to me! you CANT have it! :-P :-P

10-13-2003, 07:42 PM
So that opens up a world of discussion, on what to call it

10-13-2003, 07:44 PM
Damnit Doug it's not our fault our money goes into making better igloos for the 21st century, thus leaving our cars bearing the brunt of our lack of financial success and not be like Doug's and Pat's.
And hey we got Eric Simpson.......

Is anybody else up here? It CAN'T be just Cullen, Jon and I. I mean damn. Nobody else in Massachusetts? Maine? NH/VT? ARRR.

And hey shutup, I was brought up in a clan, where pickup trucks were religion and "ayuh" could mean at least 170 different things. I'm lucky not to be driving a lobster boat.

Damn you Cali boys and your nice cars and large numbers!

Come drive in the cold, be there at NH.

10-13-2003, 07:48 PM
No there are others. MY friend ALex and Ryan,
Alex (AGbullit) has a V70 t-5.
And ryan (overboosted745) has a 89 740 turbo wagon just like mine.

But there at school, so they will not be able to make it.
I know t here must be other folks up this way.... I mean hell my father would even show up, he is a diehard volvo freak.

760T man
10-13-2003, 08:56 PM
Invite him!

I invited Philip but he's going somewhere w/ his GF that day. I'm goign to invite my mechanic (he works standard hours 8-5 M-F) prehaps.

10-13-2003, 09:11 PM
Ok i will try to talk Alex into coming, because he is in Syracuse, but Ryan is out at Perdue Indiana, so i don't think he is going to make the trip.

I will talk to some other guys, my buddy Jon might come also

760T man
10-13-2003, 09:38 PM
I sent Greg an email so he can email his list of turbo/V8 guys. Hold ya horses, the turnout isn't hurting yet...

Greg Wong
10-13-2003, 10:14 PM
I can make it, what time is it going to be? You kinda forgot that detail. So are you coming to Swedish Car Day outside of Boston this Sunday?

I just got back from the VCOA east coast meet this evening, so I just saw this thread.

10-13-2003, 10:18 PM
I can't make it to swede car day, otherwise I'd be there.

Come on down! Not sure on specifics, feel free to IM Cullen.

10-13-2003, 10:28 PM
Thanks Greg.
Glad to see more people are willing to get together.

Sander... if you want i can pick you up on the way down.

760T man
10-13-2003, 10:29 PM
I haven't decided on a time yet...I'll do whatever works for most of us.

For a baseline figure, how's 3pm sound?

10-13-2003, 10:31 PM
Oh sorry Greg......About the time, Cullen has not decided on the time, but we will keep you posted.

IF you can tell some of your VOlvo guys about it. The more the better

10-13-2003, 10:32 PM
3 PM is cool with me.

I will prob be spending the night at my sisters the night before, or the night of the 25th, so which ever is cool for me

10-14-2003, 01:27 PM

10-14-2003, 03:02 PM
Gotta love In-N-Out Burger :-D

I had a quad-burger once, pretty flippin good. Too bad there is no In-N-Out on the east coast

760T man
10-14-2003, 03:13 PM
  ROFLMAO

hijacking my thread though :grrr:

10-14-2003, 03:49 PM
Soudns great guys, I hope everyone can make it.
I will be there at the start of it.

10-14-2003, 04:17 PM
Whew been outta touch with the board lately! The brick is residing at the 'rents place in Newburyport as I've made the move to Boston and finding paaarking in the North End can be an experience just in itself. Might be able to get my ass up to Newmarket though as it is pretty damn close. This sunday looks damn sweet too and right next door sooo no excuses on my part

760T man
10-14-2003, 06:52 PM
It's actually next Saturday, the 25th, but if you can make it, the more the merrier!

10-14-2003, 06:57 PM
Ok, so who is all bringing what? We need to start thinking about this.
I am up for bringing the chips and rolls, if that is cool with everyone else.

Oh, i blew out a coolent line tonight on the way down to school. Kind of sucked. Was driving doing about 55, and all the sudden i smelled anitfreeze, and saw some steam. So i pulled over, and say the return line for the coolent to the turbo was split right open... so it was leaking right onto the turbo and spraying on the manifold.
But i got it taken care of right there on the spot, and was late to class.
SO lets hope nothing happens on the way down to the BB/E.

Talk to you guys soon.... oh, and i am writing this in clas...

Talk to you when i get home.

10-14-2003, 07:09 PM
i will bring drinks if everyone tells me what they want and a quantity...non acholic

10-14-2003, 10:07 PM
I am good with whatever. I mean i am just as happy drinking water. But anything is good.
So what exactly does everyone want? I think burgers are a given... , hot dogs?
LEt me know so i can bring the rolls.

Also what does everyone like for chips?

I give the job of cooking to Cullen... :-D

760T man
10-14-2003, 11:17 PM
No the cook's going to be greg. Yes, even though I worked at 3 fast food places (then again, isn't this why you wouldn't want me to cook?) Lemme tell you, that man can cook a good burger.

So greg, if you don't mind...

10-15-2003, 04:32 PM
ok i will bring a thing of water what do you guys like for soda? cullen do you mind if i bring a seat cover as my passenger seat gets kind of lonely?

the poi
10-15-2003, 04:40 PM
http://home.comcast.net/~blah/burger.jpgthat looks like Fletch's 20x20 from genmay

10-15-2003, 05:24 PM
I'll bring some beers/liquor if anybody wants some. If not I'll grab up some dip and/or an assload of cookies.

760T man
10-15-2003, 06:59 PM
Sander, I really don't want anyone BRINGING alcohol. My dad has a couple cases of Michelob Light, but that's it on the alcohol. If I didn't still live with my parents, I wouldn't care.

10-15-2003, 07:15 PM
Lol, yeah I hear that one.
I'll grab up other eatins then.

Greg Wong
10-15-2003, 09:40 PM
No problem on the burgers, I can bring em and cook em, just be sure we've got gas!

Probably be good if someone can bring hot dogs, and some nice italian sausages would be good, too.

Gotta make sure we have plenty of relish, mustard, ketchup, mayo, lettuce, tomato, cheese. Buns for burgers and dogs. I think someone already mentioned chips and dips. Some potato salad would be good.

Cullen, why don't you edit this list into your first post, and we'll keep track of who's bringing what officially.
I'll be down for the burgers and the cheese. More if need be.

760T man
10-15-2003, 09:59 PM
Wouldn't hurt to bring more of that IBC black cherry...that was GOOD stuff.

10-16-2003, 02:09 AM
What people are bringing: Take 1

Nick: Sodas (Man just bring 2 liters of Dew, Orange, Root beer, pepsi, etc. Get alot! LIke 1$ each so go nuts)

John: Burger and hot dog buns, Chips (just grab a few bags: Plain, BBQ, SC&O/S&V whatever. NOT Lays, that stuff's gross. Get somethin thick and dippable!)

Me: I'll bring some specialty drinks (IBCs or something), dip, cookies, I'll bring some sausages too :-).

Greg: Burgers, cheese (mmm)

Need (Cullen?): Hotdogs, condiments, plates/cups/napkins (if you think we'll need em ;-)), anything else you think we need.

See you all there!

10-16-2003, 08:57 AM
finally someone steps up to the plate... i have no problem bringing that

10-16-2003, 08:58 AM
i will bring the cups as well

sorry i forgot to add that last time

10-16-2003, 11:12 AM
I can bring whatever you guys want me to. Just let me know...

10-16-2003, 08:38 PM
Hey guys, that sounds cool.

Hey sander, you want to caravan down? Let me know.

Nick i am going to roll right through the UNH campus... which dorm are you in... I knwo how to get to Englhart, becasue my sister used to live there before she gragitated....

10-16-2003, 08:45 PM
also eric. I am going to be geting off in Portsmouth, do you want to meet up, and we can just caravan to Cullens?, and pick nick up on the way?
Let me know

10-16-2003, 09:03 PM
Sure, I could meet you at the Bickford's on the circle or something. I'll be in the only 122 with racing stripes in the lot :)

10-16-2003, 09:39 PM
Yeah caravan sounds like the best plan.
Hopefully have my car up and ready by then. If not I'll catch a ride w/ you. Will letcha know.

10-16-2003, 10:32 PM
Great guys sounds good.

Just look for my wagon. we should talk more about this when the time comes. IT takes me about a little over 2 hours to get to Durham from where i am from in maine.

10-16-2003, 10:38 PM
Hey eric, how does that 122 go?
What all have you done to it?

10-16-2003, 10:46 PM
Well, it went pretty good until the OD started slipping in all gears. I'll have to throw a different tranny in there before BurgerBall.

Suspension is ipd sways, Bilstein HD, progressive rate springs, 195/60R15 Toyos on American Racing alloys. Handles GREAT.

Engine is a B20F running MS. See my web page link for info on that. The page is pretty out of date. I have probably 3k-4k miles on the MS without incident.

I have a new motor that I'm putting together for that car. Just received one of the R grind cams from Dale. I can't decide if I'm going to have the head shaved down or not. I may leave the CR low and put a supercharger on there. I dunno... Too many projects.

10-16-2003, 10:50 PM
dude, that sounds sweet...
I have a 81 242 turbo that i am rebuilding the motor in this spring..Going to get everything out of the 2.1 block that i can.

But my 740 is pretty fast for right now. Hope to get faster

10-16-2003, 11:21 PM
You all better get some good burnout/ racing videos :x:

10-16-2003, 11:32 PM
Im sorry, Burgerball is a registered trademark of me and the east coast ass kicking West Coast.

East Coast could be called SlowerBall? Special Olympics rally? Robin and Eric is our God-Ball?

You'll think of something lol.

Not so fast Doug, the idea of Burgerball was a joint collaboration between me and Pat. (see link below)

Since I live in MO and Pat lives in CA, Burgerball should technically belong to somewhere in the plains states.

10-17-2003, 03:56 PM
This IS our thread... :grrr:

Good news folks, I'm refinishing the Virgos.
I'll have em on for BB or bust.
And maybe the spoiler. Who knows?

Turbo and clutch are priority now. I can't pull the engine, no time.
So it'll be dirty. But fast :-D . As fast as it'll go on the M47 anyhow.

John I'll call you this week for exhaust help.

10-17-2003, 04:14 PM
hey guys keep me posted on your way from portsmouth you can stop in durham and i will follow you guys i live right near the lights that head to newmarket. keep me posted.

10-17-2003, 04:15 PM
i live in park court apartments right on main st if that is any help.

10-17-2003, 07:09 PM
Nick, i think i have an idea of where that is. Sounds great.

SOunds good sander... If i didn't give you my number here it is, and for anyone else who wants it, so we can set up plans to meet.

House- 207-685-3295
Cell- 207-458-4269

Sander, i can't come down monday or tuesday night, becasue i am going to the garage and flushing my tranny with Ams-oil, and putting ams-oil diff fluid in, also going to be putting my exhaust on.

10-17-2003, 08:56 PM
Cool, wednesday and thursday seem more likely anyhow.
If it's not done by then it's open downpipe to NH! :-D

Yeah got your #s.

Good luck w/ the stuff. I might just look into changing my tranny fluid...Not sure yet.
It's Manual...how hard? I'll check the manual.

You know I'm hitting 60 in like 11-12 seconds now...Which isn't bad for a NA volvo. Can't WAIT for the turbo.

Got my wheels ready for paint, too. Can't wait to get em on.
Got my muffler finally and ordered a new cat on the way... I'll try and be on aim once and a while but I'm on brother's computer.

If anybody needs to get in touch with me call me at home @
207-729-6246 Don't have a cell :-).
Leave a message and I will get it and reply.

Cya all Saturday

10-17-2003, 09:08 PM
Does anyone have a video camera? I am bringing my digital camera, but i think it would be cool if we could take some Videos.

So... is there going to be any drag racing each other????, i refuse to race greg...

10-17-2003, 09:31 PM
i will bring both my nikon digital camera and my camcorder, as long as you guys promise to give some good footage :-P .

here is my cell number if you want to call me when you get to durham sat.

cell 603 387-0150
apt 603-397-5067

10-17-2003, 09:50 PM
nick, what do ou want me to do burnouts or something? haha

Hey i know exactly whre you are... its in the same parking lot as the ST. georges church right?

10-17-2003, 09:52 PM
You betcha!
And drag racing is fun to do but entirely boring on camera.
We can just get some good action of people driving the way they love to drive (fast) .
Cullen get some back roads (twisties!) lined up for us!

John: Ever been to Popham beach? Parker head road near there? It's the crazy windy 1-1.5lane wide at many times road leading to it. (OT kinda thing, but just wondering)...I gotta get the video we shot driving that at full speed...lol.

I might be able to bring a camera (video) though I'd much rather be driving! Find somebody who can put these vids on computers and host em. And a nice music soundtrack is always helpful.

10-18-2003, 05:34 PM
No i have never been there... Maybe we should leave early, and rip up that road... what do yo uthink?

And if there is a vid cam. i think we should find a back road and do some drag racing... I think we all know who is going to win though... Greg....

But it will still be fun,

10-18-2003, 06:21 PM
on the way to new market there is durham point road, collen can back me up this is very windy this is where all of us race our bikes so it is pretty windy. also yes you are exactly correct on where i live. so please keep me up to date and call em when you get there you got my cell number correct.

760T man
10-18-2003, 06:31 PM
Durham Point Road!

we HAVE to go down that. That's one hell of a FUN road. I always go down it and usually maintain 50+ :-D

10-18-2003, 07:44 PM
Sounds good all around.

10-18-2003, 07:54 PM
I am down with that road man...

I forgot to ask people this.... what kind of chips should i bring?

Greg Wong
10-18-2003, 09:47 PM
Bring whatever you like! But if I may make a suggestion, those Tostito Lime chips are really good!

I'll bring my G-tech, too. I've only used it once! Any good straight flat roads that aren't busy near you Cullen?

760T man
10-19-2003, 01:08 PM
I know the area pretty well, and there are a good bit of those around. We'll find something.

10-19-2003, 05:18 PM

760T man
10-21-2003, 04:00 PM
OK guys, we're now down with the plan.

Dropped 2 on attendance, oh well.

If they get back to me this week, things'll be good, I hope they do.

See you there.

10-21-2003, 07:33 PM
Hey cullen, I talked to my buddy Jonathan Bean, and he said that he might be able to drive down. I saw him at the volvo garage last ngiht, and told him about it. He said he had to see what is going on this saterday, but he is really excited about it. \
He said he would let me know by wednesday, becasuse i am doing an alignment at the shop.

Hope to see you all there.

10-22-2003, 01:26 PM
ok i have got drinks, lots of drinks, paper plates and cups. is that good? my parents still buy my groceries so let me know if i can get anything else.

760T man
10-22-2003, 04:12 PM
CUPS! damnit, I forgot. Yeah that's good.

10-22-2003, 08:27 PM
Everything is coming together... I hope everyone likes dorito's, plain, and BBQ chips.
Also if its to any interest i can bring some salsa and corn chips.

10-23-2003, 02:27 PM
Dammit Jon check your e-mail!! heh

In other news, why do you guys always have to do cool crap when I'm @ school or doing Air Force stuff? I'm never in the right frickin state at the right frickin time. Its like I leave the Midwest, they have a meet, I leave Maine, you guys have a meet. What gives!? hehehe

I'll be there with y'all in spirit.

760T man
10-23-2003, 03:17 PM
Ryan, this ain't gonna be the only one. Let us know when you'll be up here again!!

I'll pick a date that works for you surely. I would've contacted you this time around but didn't have your email.

10-23-2003, 09:47 PM
Cullen, you need to change your main post.. the first one, and add Ryan in spirit...

Ryan, we will have another one, what do you guys think.... Should we make this a more frequent thing?

saterday is coming up, i am going to be leaving Augusta ME. at 12:00, so that is going to put me down by sander at 12:30 or so.
Then sander and i will drive down to portsmouth and get eric, i am assuming around 1:30-2:00? :e-shrug:
Then off to UNH to get nick.

NIck i will call you when we get into Durham.
And sander i will give you a call tomorrow night if i don't hear from you
And eric.. i will send you a PM with my Cell number.

10-23-2003, 11:08 PM
Hey John:
Sounds great: Same plan as before, just call when you're near Bowdoin and I'll come grab you up.
I'll get what I need for the shindig Friday.

Bad news everybody:
1. Car is not turbo.
2. Virgos are not on. I hope to paint them tomorrow though.

Good news is I can drive the car down. And spoiler's on. And the car is still great, just not as fast as I'd like.

Cya all soon.
Reminder, I'm bringing cookies, something to drink, dip.

10-24-2003, 08:36 AM
Thanks guys, Alex and I ought to be around this t-giving time, I'll be brickless though.

I'm sure we'll work somethin out!

10-24-2003, 01:03 PM
That all sounds good. Greg ended up with a big list of stuff to bring, so I'm going to get a couple of things for him. I'll probably grab something desserty as well.

See you guys when you get to Portsmouth. Give me a ring when you're on or around the bridge.

10-24-2003, 08:03 PM
