man i dig that interior ! and i thought the maroon interior looked good on a white 1990 760 :badboy: good luck with the ride u gots a pretty car... looks reallly realllllly good in white 8-)

hmmm.. did you paint the mirrors ? mine are black :e-shrug:

The mirrors were that color from the factory. I just got a used left mirror
off a '95 960 which is the exact same color, even though it has a slightly
different shape to the mount, it bolts up with no problems. Of the 760
parts cars with this interior that I saw only two did not have painted
mirrors, one was white and the other was maroon, both had a red interior.
Even the black car had painted mirrors. I'm fairly certain at this point
I'm going to paint the whole car Saab #227 Citrine Beige Metallic.

Actually in those pictures I haven't touched the car outside of washing the
engine. The interior was that clean when I picked up the car. Originally I
bought the car thinking I'd grab the turbo parts and sell the rest, but the
drive home from Richmond demonstrated a car that drove so flawlessly
that there was no doubt left that this car had to be fixed.

My goal with this car is to get it all together and give it to my brother, so
far I'm really enjoying working on it.

By the way that siggy pic of yours is awesome!

yes.... i was feeling inspired last night so i made the sig pic, and i guess my car is the exception :e-shrug: as i do have black mirrors, its a white 760 turbo with maroon interior ?

Oops, I think I forgot to mention where I said "I just got a used left
mirror off a '95 960 which is the exact same color, even though it has a
slightly different shape to the mount, it bolts up with no problems.
"
While the mirror does mount up fine, there were some problems:
the 700 series window sill trim is different and has to be cut down
because while the 700 mirror fits on top of the trim, the 900 mirror
occupies the space all the way down to the sill of the window. It's not
hard to do without removing the trim if you have a good dremel and
cutting bit, I lifted it up and slid a small piece of sheet metal under the
trim to protect the door. Also the wiring is shorter and has to extended, I
just used the cable off the old mirror and grafted it in.

I do like the 9 series mirror better though as the glass is pushed out
closer to the outer rim rather than recessed like the 760 had. My '92 240
also has the newer design, really noticed it when I traded up from the '89
240, to my eye it has a higher quality look to it.
