ZF to CAM swap 1988 ?

Is it possible for me to swap in a CAM rack and pinion from the ZF that I have in my 1988 245 ? I have the ZF out right now but am hitting a snag. Cant find anybody that has a vid on how to rebuild it. Just looking into replacing it with a CAM if I mess the ZF up.

Yes unless you're trying to swap an early rack with a small input shaft with a later one with a large shaft (or vice versa). Since you have a late car it won't be an issue. You just need the correct hardware to mount it. This eBay seller has the mounting kits.
