Quick holset question

So i decided to start hoarding +t parts, i got my 90+ manifold finally and i had a hx35w with a 12cm twin scroll housing squirreled away for years, the manifold is not shaved yet to accept the t3 flange but the way i have it clocked right now almost seems like the cold side is going to hit runner #1 once finally machined for a t3. Is anyone running a hx35w on a stock manifold? I just dont want to machine the manifold down and then find out it doesnt fit and now i cant tun stock volvo turbos... t3’s are kind of hard to find in junk yards nowadays around here. So should i just put off the hx35 and go snag a 15g or something? I know its a “healthy” sized turbo to “start” with but its what i have and it came from a 1700 mi vehicle so yeah... any help would be appreciated.

You can buy T3 to T4 divided or T3 to T4 flanges on Ebay.
The extra spacing may also solve your cold side hitting the 1st runner problem.

Havent thought of that i might look for a t3/t3 spacer for ewg purposes... i dont want to destroy the 12cm twinscroll as eventually it would be cool to get a ts manifold... anybody have any input on the ?turbolabs? t3 single scroll housing for the hx35?s?

i did just this. i used a cheap stepped volvo t3 to flat t3 adapter from chinabayto spa.e it away from the manifold, then i ground a bit on the compressor housing and runner 1 of exhaust manifold to get them to fit with out touching, then wrapped the comp housing in saturn tape. if i could do it all over again i would have just snagged a 16g or 19t and delt with that stuff. the holset is fun, and when it finally spools it really hits hard, but its boring until then. and without at least a 3 inch downpipe it won't spool until next month.

Thanks thats what i was kind of afraid of is that its just going to be a PITA no matter what with the stock manifold i think i?ll end up just hunting down a 15 or 16 and calling it good until i can build better bottom end and find a t/s manifold

oh i forgot to mention i had to clock the comp housing and wastegate actuator really funky to get outlet to line up with a charge pipe, and then had to build a wacky 4" to 3" 45 degree silicone elbow to adapt down to the stock amm size, which loses the nice 90 bend between amm and compressor, which i have heard causes driveability problems. But i caused my own driveability problems so moot point for me. finally the stock turbo oil feed line threads directly into the holset with a little pry bar encouraging, but the oil drain line is much much bigger on a holset so you will need to either adapt down to stock drain line size or do like i did and drill and tap for a larger tapered hose barb(the for intake manifold heater hose barb works perfectly with some diesel truck high pressure generic hose
