Good looking 242, missing the same passenger reserve light cover as mine.
Where did I see these pictures? I wanna say I saw this car yesterday

Damn I'm looking for a flathood now but looks like you beat me to one. Are you planning on painting the hood? Color looks like 172 rose beige, same as my cars.

Must have been a nice drive threw the Plumas National Forest to get the hood, great roads for these cars

Yep, gonna paint it. Car had a volvo paint touch up kit with it, "california white", not sure if that is correct though. My buddy has a brand new body shop with a computer paint match so he'll whip it up.

Working on the motor now, taking it out on these roads to wind it out before installing some TLAO chips. Want to set some seat of the pants benchmarks. Got a 19t (struggling to find a DP solution) and supporting mods sitting on my bench....also waiting to see how well these cd009 swaps work out with feedback on the gearing.

Maybe I really am color blind, looks beige to me.

If you get a TD04hl conical turbine housing you can keep the old downpipe but the angled and flat housings are better. Ide say pull a downpipe from a FWD Volvo with the right flandge and weld something up.

Cd009 sounds super cool, I'm interested to see what people do for economical shifter relocations

Re-Volv sells a 3inch flange, still have to weld up a downpipe and its not cheap for the flange but it could be a good place to start

Just doing some of the low-hanging fruit upgrades to the motor.

This is in Lassen County, on the edges of the Great Basin.
