Are the bolts bottomed out in the center section, preventing full clamp load?

Do you think that the oil being above the gasket (sigh) indicates anything useful? Going to pick up a new gasket tomorrow.

I was hesitant to use any sealant in such a hot location.

I’ve got a stack of washers on the bolts in an effort to keep them from bottoming.

The turbo motor holds 10 qts, right?

Took my son for a spin tonight. The car is so different now.

Oh! And it tried the BOV. Pffft! So cool.

Ordered a Yoshi T/O bearing.

I had the exact same issue.

In my case, the ears of the flange were bent resulting in an inability to seal in the middle.

I sanded the flange perfectly flat to true it up. Reinstalled and was leak free.

Is there a benefit to having the return spring on the clutch fork vs on the pedal?

Yoshi T/O bearing arrived. Different drain tube on the way. Gasket with an O-ring ordered. Plumbed the BOV to vent back into the intake. Looks silly, but works great. Awesome 2nd / 3rd gear pulls with good driveability.

What are we typically seeing for hot oil pressure at idle?

First time I’ve had a gauge in the car. Currently running a 5 bar. I have a 3 bar.

Thx.

Mine usually sits just a hair under one bar at warm idle. Hopefully that's about right.

I usually see somewhere around 3 bars at warm idle. Running 10w40 Rotella in mine.

Uh oh. I swear I had read 10 psi per 1000 rpms was minimum hot oil pressure spec. But all of you have much more pressure than I do...

Why would any sane person subject themselves to such frustration?

New, used, drain tube arrived. Pick up the o-ring gasket tomorrow.

Ordered an amp for the stereo. Because. Don’t tell my wife. At least I’ll have tunes when this turd strands me on a back road in the middle of the night.
