VOLVO 940 SW short spr?ngs

camber can be adjusted some with the alignment settings at the top of the strut but it does not move much. Next step is to replace the stock strut mounts with adjustable ones. The stock ones have no caster adjustment but the aftermarket ones do. This will get you more negative camber and some have caster as well. With these you can only go so far as well because the spring will hit the inside of the wheel well. Front coilover conversion has smaller diameter springs which allow the most camber adjustment, in combination with the adjustable mounts. Most people with track cars go this route.

The link for the roll correction spacers above, Bneshop.com, also has a couple options for adjustable camber strut mounts as well as several coilover options for any budget. They have kits to modify your existing struts, or complete units. Or full on race stuff.

hola. Vaya, no sabia que cobra fabricar muelles para estos coches. Esto es interesante tambien. lo voy a poner en la lista de deseos. ya tengo tres opciones. pero la de los LESJ?FORS
It does not seem to be the best option according to FA182.
so I have the other two options left.
I do not know how to modify the camber and the caster.
Would you be so kind as to give an apprenticeship course?
Thank you so much everyone.
and sorry for the delay.

For caster you need to shim the control arm forward (4-5mm)

If you are only lowering 40mm you do not really need to worry about spacing the ball joint and track rod end down.

For camber you can slot the holes in teh body or use a adjustable camber plate

Progressive rate B@G springs are available for 7/9 Wagons- I see them from time to time on e-bay and elsewhere. Here is the factory page for info: http://b-gsuspension.com/product-category/s2-lowering-springs/volvo

For us "old age" Grandpa drivers..... these are the ticket.

I ran IPD blue 40mm shortened (from stock ride height) springs for years on my 92 sedan; now having just completed the final mods to the car, I'm loving these B&G progressives. Perhaps performance might have suffered, but the ride quality is MUCH better than what I had with the IPD "sport springs".

YMMV, but the opinion of a TRUE grandpa ;-)

Thank you very much for this course.
Then it is valuable information.
I see that you can really do great things with the suspension of the Volvo 940.
Now I know the way I must follow to leave the suspension system to my liking.
Thank you very much for your interest and for dedicating your time

Thank you.
At the moment I was going to try only with springs and shock absorbers.
and if the thing went badly, I would change the labels.
Thanks to your information, now I am more convinced and calm that the assembly will go well.
Thank you

Or get theese if the old control arms are in a bad shape.

Combined with adjustable camber plates you get quite nice adjustability. Already -1 degree of camber in the front makes the car handle much better than stock.

Hello
When I changed the silentblock of the control arms of my 940, I realized that I had a washer more behind the arm to give more advance.
At some point, the previous owner added them.
And I have to say that if it shows in purchase with two other 940 I drove.
What I did not know is that Shandix sold the adjustable control arms.
This is another great news.
Thank you

:Dios mio:

Hello, but how old are you?
am already 41 years old, and I do not like the suspension too hard.
So the B & G progressives already have more points.
Actually I was already starting to think only about the B & G and the COBRA.
But in Spain I do not count direct distributor and here they come out.
Thanks for your opinion

Well, in these days back I already got some pieces, and I only miss the springs.
But they have to wait until next month.
The bad thing is that I bought the key of Bilstein MS 08/6 to release the nut of the front shock absorbers and I realized that it does not work, at least in the front B4.
The front B4s bring a nut-shaped closure.
If tomorrow I finish working soon I take pictures of the fish and the key.
The closure of the BILSTEIN B4 shock absorbers does not convince me much.

Again, I want to thank everyone for your interest and help.

There's a seller from the UK which sells some interesting* springs: https://www.classicswede.co.uk/

*40 to 70mm lowering

Haven't tried these myself, but he is also selling the 60/40 red spring kit that I bought from a dealer in Sweden (Swede myself) and that I use. Haven't used the car much since the replacement though. But 60mm in the front is pretty low.

Hi. It is but that they excuse all my delay in writing. In the end I made an order to Classicswede.
I have ordered the melles that reduce 4cm.
As soon as I mount them, I give them my impressions over here.
thank you very much everyone for your help.
regards
