I'm planning on ditching my coolant oil cooler for an external RX7 cooler. I'm not sure if the ebay sandwich plates like this one will work, or if they're junk or not. If so, I'll just buy a old 740 sandwich and use that with an adapters. Also, if anybody knows, are the RX7 oil cooler fittings M18x1.5?

I think you’ll want a thermostatic sandwich plate. Without the thermostat it’s possible the engine may never be able to come up to operating temperature.

Try this thread: http://forums.turbobricks.com/showthread.php?t=349225
It also has pics of fittings I used, including for my RX7 oil cooler.

And info on all the fitting thread sizes should be here. Including the RX7 oil cooler.
