Hey all

I think I've had a second ECU fail, same symptoms as my last on that failed. Trying to figure out the best option, another used one that may fail in a few years, a rebuilt one (sounds like programma is the only source), or try to figure out which part failed.

My question is, it sounds like the hybrid units are what commonly fails, per this website:
http://home.kpn.nl/mirjam_paul/928_lh_repair.html

Has anyone investigated replacements? This place in the Netherlands has replacement hybrid circuits for a version of LH2.4 used in Porsches, but I contacted the guy, and he says they are different from the ones in the Volvo LH2.4

Anybody aware of a source for them, or have additional info on repairing the ecu's?

second ECU fail

I can't speak for LHs, but caps have failed in many ECUs....if they don't spill acid on the board, they can be replaced.

Electronik Repair, Inc. is a source of LH-Jetronic module repair. Look to the website at www.electronikrepair.com We have common LH module failure symptoms listed on the main page and a tech tip section in the service page, good tips for determining if your module or some other item is going bad.
