940 MAF/Air Box Thermostat Replacement

Replacing the MAF on my ol ladies 945 turbo. Seems straight forward. My question is there a air box thermostat on turbo cars? It's incorporated into the pre heat system which I don't think turbo cars have, correct? Apparently when the thermostat gets stuck open it Cooks the MAF.

2.4 has no airbox thermostat.

To be more precise, a 7-9 series with LH 2.4 does not use an air box thermostat.
