my '65 122s wagon

yea, i took it out of the bottom of the post, but that VoX wagon, and this other widend 2dr coupe, on bags, extended front & rear.. those are my 2 inspirations..

great cover you found though, i've never seen it before..
 
more blocksanding, more prep work, and bodywork on interior panels in the rear. i sprayed the jambs yesterday, clearing today, and maybe painting the dash & other interior panels today too.

how did you fabricate the headlight surrounds.. that's bad ass

thanks, it was hard work.. pretty much, used 16 gauge metal plate, welded it inch by inch, rolling it in until it's all the way around, then cut it from the front of the plate into slices. bent them in to create a taper, welded them all together.. then shaved them flat until you get whatever taper you want..
