Group Beige Turbo LS Swap

They didn't need anything till I slammed it, so before paint I rolled everything with a rental roller, which worked awesome! 11's is going to be hard without some ugly flares and or jdm stretch.

With the offset of the wheels I'm going to run and the axle, flares won't be necessary but tubs in the back will for sure be needed, the wheels are 315/35/17 rear and 275/35/17 front lol

Didn't know if you transferred it from the silver car.

Ordering my CCW's and trying to figure out what offset I need. Don't really want to pull the 1/4 to fit a 9".

You can fit a 315 on a 9" wheel, which requires neither. You would have to get the offset pretty much perfect though.

Buddy is running a 305 on an 8" wheel on his 76mm RCSB.

:grrr:

You can also pinch a 225 50 15 hoosier on a virgo. It doesn't make it a good idea.

His setup is perfect, and he's not even remotely close to the only person doing it. He drives the piss out of his truck and has zero problems.

Is it ideal for ride quality, gas mileage, etc...? Probably not. But when you're making 700+whp, that kind of stuff is already out of the window anyway.

That's by far the ideal size to be stuffing on a 8" rim... but if he isn't the only one I guess that justifys it.

I had to remake the rear half of my exhaust since the exhaust I had made for the 1980 242gt(now The Full Banana's car) doesnt clear with the spare tire wells its 3" back from the y pipe like before reusing most of my old bends and my single magnaflow muffler, im really impressed with how this muffler sounds. I attempted to do a turn down and I am pretty happy with how it turned out.

well today I worked on it on and off, I mounted the Porsche calipers just to look at how awesome they are. The s60r front rotors should be in on Tuesday and the rears sometime this week, I ordered the fronts from autozone and the rears from rockauto total was just over $200 for all 4 s60r rotors which is as cheep as i could find.

after that I finally mounted the newer style mirrors on my car, this was nerve racking drilling into a mint set of 242 doors but i succeeded in not screwing it up

my father made a dash insert for my gauges which turned out very nice. Its the R sport cluster layout but with autometer carbon ultralites, there's alot of blank space off to the right that im unsure what i wanted to do with quite yet but when its done it will be wrapped in crabon vinyl.

Very nice man.
Im thinking I need to get some of those porsche calipers and adapters myself.

Are you planning on painting the bezels of the gauges black when you wrap the insert? I think that would look pretty mean in there.

no I don't under the picture it i commented I was wrapping it in vinyl. Thats what i did with my last one and it looked great.

Well yesterday I had off work so I installed the timing chain damper adapter I found. Stock the lq block doesbt have one and the chain has a lot of slack, the adapter needed some thinner washers so I drilled a set out amd installed it. Chain has far less slack now.
