The "never-getting-done" 16VT 242

Had to get the old junky B21 out:

So dirty and sad looking.

As you can see there are some "bids" written on the windshield. The car sat for so long that people (friends) started making bids on the car and how much I would let it go for.

Moments before they were washed away:

Much better:

Fitting the motor and making the mounts:

Got my modified bell housing from Ben, I'm also using his adapter plate.

T5 Trans mounted up

Mounts made and tacked:

Aluminum es mi favorito

We're almost updated to the current date/time will finish and bring us current in a little bit. ;-)

Cool project. Why'd you decide to mount it vertically?

Mostly because it's a little different. Adds a little flair. In hindsight though, I would have had this car running (maybe lol) a little bit sooner had I just used OEM mounts. A big hold up I struggled with for a while was driveline angle and motor angle.

With the help of some friends providing some much needed motivation, we kinda just decided to do it and see what happens.

Unfortunately my next hurdle will be keeping motivation, and after that praying the guy who did the work on the block bores wasn't on crack when he did it :-)

Engine bay painted:

The Infamous Nathan double injector manifold held up:

Also, going to be adding a steering quickener, kind of always wanted one so we'll see how it works out. 1:1.5

Pulled the windshield out:

Very annoyed with the T4 collector I got from Vibrant:

Also, cut a hole in the floor to get rid of a rusty spot in the floor:

I did the same thing on my car, and ended up making my engine mounts a little off center somehow. Pretty annoying to have to figure out those driveline angle problems.

Your build looks great.

Thanks!! Trying to get it at least moveable by spring time. It's only money AMIRITE?! :omg::roll::oops:

Looks like you're using ARP main studs. What did you do to get the oil pump transfer tube to clear?

That's a good question, it's been put together so long I don't even remember anymore. I feel like we shimmed the pump up (technically down). But it was really close, and it didn't seem to be a big issue at the time.

Are you having this issue now??

haha.. i should rename my projectcar after this one.. ^^

That Collector is supersexy.. it is not shown on vibrants shop.. where did you get it from?
