My power steering on my 91 245 is like frozen for the first 15-20 sec after I first start my car in the morning... I know that means like impending doom and stuff, but would flushing and putting synthetic ATF in there help? Any ideas?

the powersteering should already be ATF... if its not, then yeah. however sythetic fluids dont absorb water, so its got to be leak free and dry otherwise the water content will freeze as you describe. works the same way for brake fluids, thats why volvo advises not to use DOT5.

Change the fluid once a year...

I remove the return line and flush the system out using new fluid. This process uses a little more fluid overall for the flushing process, but is a fast and clean method.....

will do.. any brand that you guys say is the best... I know like amsoil atf is probably good, but are there any cheapo brands that are really nice?
