I took a stab at spraying a 2 part color and clear PPG shopline system. I have some holidays in the lower panels and would like to add some color, the base is acrylic and the clear is urethane. Can I just hit the clear with some 320, they spray the color then clear it again or do I need to sand all the clear off? I'm wet sanding all the other imperfections now and was thinking about hitting the whole car with 500 and adding another layer of clear, is this a reasonable thing to do?

800-1000 grit For clear only. Basecoat over cured clear is fine. blending metallics takes some practice. 400grit for basecoat 800 for the blend area

I've got about half the car done with 500 grit taking down some orange peel, should I reapply some clear then 800-1000 grit? My polishing compound says it needs 1200 grit. I was thinking about 2000 grit final sanding then polishing and waxing. It's not metallic I think the paint code was 141 wine/Richelieu red.
