Sounds good dude. We'll probably leave for the drive around 10-11am. Probably back around 2 or 3 pm

I'm going to hit the Tail of the Dragon from the west side around 12 - 1 pm on Thursday. Then on to the lodge at mid-late afternoon after that.

That’s my plan too, as long as I am on schedule. I’m talking Wednesday off work to make sure I am ready to go early Thursday AM

Got the drive planned out...if we leave at 10:30 from the lodge, we should be back around 2 or 3 barring anyone getting lost or breaking down, so we'll actually be back around 11pm I guess.

You might need to set access on that, it's not showing up.

Cool.

We'll discuss the drive route on Friday. If needed, we can shorten it up significantly and still have a good time.

Here's a shorter route. This cuts out about 25 miles, and probably 45 minutes. This may be the ticket.

Saturday. We'll probably just check out some waterfalls or something Friday. Did you got to Dill Falls last time? It's kinda down in the woods not far from the lodge. Really cool.

I'm out. I'm covered up with a house remodel and just this morning had a death in the family due to Covid.
I know it's going to be a big time. I'll be thinking about y'all and looking forward to next year.
Deep fry something and think of me!

Who the hell is going to manage the kitchen with Wren not there. If Harders is in charge we are all doomed.

On a serious note I'm really sad you won't be with us brother and we will be thinking about you.. Stay safe brother.

Sorry to see you won't be there bud, we'll pour some out for you.

First couple shopping trips are done, most of the ancillary/nonperishable stuff has been bought at this point. The remaining trip will be on Tuesday to get THE MEATS.

The hardest thing to find thus far, oddly, has been the leg quarters. Finally caught the meat department at Ingles while they were putting them out. Got 16 quarters, about 20ish lb worth. Should be good.

Just eyeballing the BBQ situation, I think we're gonna pick up an extra butt or two. 45lb was way overkill in 2019 but I don't think 25 is gonna be near enough. 32-35 shoulb be about the sweet spot.

I do love how it's been 20 years of TB meets and the usual suspects are still wrenching on shitboxes at the last minute to go drinking.
