So I've never really had a factory ish turbo redblock before.

The one I now have has a flame trap set up similar to a 240: breather box > flame trap > turbo intake pipe.

It is also connected to manifold vacuum. This feels incorrect.

Should there even be a flame trap? Isn't the OEM way just straight hose from the breather box to the turbski intake boot?

IB4 search noob :cool::-P:lol:

No flame trap on turbo- just a hollow fitting between the air/oil separator box and the long hose to the turbo inlet. A little vacuum tube tees off to the very small restricted nipple on the intake manifold.

A B230FT breather setup uses the plastic housing without the actual flame trap inside it. The hose setup is correct as described. Only B21FT uses the setup where the little hose is deleted entirely.
