I am very new to the Volvo world, so I?ll excuse myself for any upcoming nonsense that I am going to ask. Quite a long time a go I posted that I wanted to start a drift project with a turbo 940 Volvo. I understood than the easiest way to go would be B230FT. Very straightforward, so I went looking for it. I actually had little to no luck here in Lithuania, but just last week I stumbled upon a 960 2.0turbo swap in one village. The B204FT. I immediately went to surf the net for more info and I found this big post http://forums.turbobricks.com/showthread.php?t=173001. I understood that this is a very rare ant technologically advanced engine. The seller wants 500bucks for the fulls swap (engine, injectors, gearbox, turbo + downpipe, etc.) EXCEPT MAF and because he doesn?t know anything about this engine, and I don?t know much about Volvos (I was more of a BMW guy), he includes the main JETRONIC ECU, TURBO CONTROL UNIT (TCU), INGITION CONTROL UNIT (ICU) and the BOSCH ABS ECU (which is not really necessary). So my main questions would be:
1. Are there any other control units that I should know about, to be able to fully swap this engine in to a regular Volvo 940 (2.0 N/A; 2.3 N/A)? If there are - what are they and were are they located? Are there any compatibilities from other Volvo engines?
2. Are there any compatibilities from other Volvo engines for a MAF? What are they?
3. Is it a relatively easy to swap engine, or will I have suprises and difficulties with the wiring? I?m thinking of putting it in an N/A Volvo 940.
4. Do I need custom engine mounts to swap this engine into a 940 (that previously had a 2.0 or a 2.3) or will it just bolt in?
