If I take the fuel tank bolts out do the rear triangles just slip out of there? Or are they also welded to the chassis?

My car has undercoating on it so i don't want to go scraping that off just to find I need to cut them anyway....

Trying to fit my 2.5" exhaust.

They are clamped between the fuel tank and the body. Just support the tank, remove the bolts and you can slip them out. They save a good chunk of weight. Look out for the hidden third bolt.

Yeah plan to do that when I go through the brakes later.

Building an exhaust right now. I have stainless brake lines for the future. Will do new pads, rotors, stainless lines all around but thats in the future.

I always removed them but i?m on the fence with the latest 245. Keeping the tank away from the axle in a rear-end collision would be sweet. I?m seeing more and more close calls with brodozers recently.
