So, I have been messing with the rear suspension, and here is what's been done:
Swapped my springs that were too short for the sedan springs I got, while this made the car sit right and ride nicer when loaded down on a trip. In other circumstances I think this solution is pretty lame.
Today I made spacers and installed the progressive lowering springs that I had gotten, so far so good.
Now I need to take the swaybar out. Because the rear suspension is pretty firm with bilsteins and lowering springs I think I can get away with a wagon or sedan bar, not the big fat IPD bar.
In any case I somewho managed to wrestle it out without undoing the shock bolt all the way, but this time I am going to need to take the shock bolt out. IF I take the shock bolt out will my bilstein come shooting out and self destruct? How does one avoid this?
ALso what swaybars do people recommend? I want the car to ride a little softer back there and get a little better traction in rain/cornering. I like understeer in most situations, I want it to be set up to have a little more body roll back there, in exchange for more understeer when off the gas, then if I want oversteer I can always romp on the gas and get oversteer and hopefully more traction. So to achieve these goals what swaybar would you recommend?
