Details on suspension?

Nick Choy didn't swap the hoods. He kept his factory cowl: http://turbobricks.com/feature/img/summer_05l.jpg

You need to cut the corners out of the fenders and swap them (because the A-pillars are different), cut the cowl lip off the firewall, and fab custom hinges since the mounts aren't there on the 7s. Even when you're done with that you've got some work to do to make sure everything clears and to finish the newly exposed area under the cowl since a 960 trim piece won't fit.

It's pretty common to leave the cowl as a badge of honor. It shows that the car is a conversion not a 960. It means you mean business. ;-)

Back to the search for a 91 940se in 406 and black interior

I'm not sure what it is but the 900 series, and 760+ series just don't do it for me, a factory spec 740 turbo with those gorgeous 5 spoke rims is what Volvo is all about. (maybe some limo tint too)
