Hello everyone. I am awaiting delivery of my first Volvo, a 1989 244 DL automatic. It should arrive tomorrow evening. My daily driver is a 2015 Chevrolet SS manual transmission. This car is intended to be a project for my daughter (14) and son (11) to work on with me. I have several ideas banging around in my head, competing about what exactly I want to do. For now, I'm just excited to be be getting the car.

Less is More!

Get metric sized tools. Get TORX drivers since almost everything is fastened with TORX or metric socket type fasteners (Most 15mm or smaller but there are some larger).

Read up on STAGE 0. Do a STAGE 0.

Once you learn to search with all the information that is available on here you will be quite surprised.

Take lots of pictures and post the progress on here for all to see!! :nod:

My 2 boys have 240s and me as well. It’s been awesome to
Help them with their cars. I do all the research then pass info
onto them. You will learn a lot working on that Volvo. It will help
help you with other things in life as well.
