A cam question

Thank you,

I thought that b18, b19, b20, b21 are the same engine with different capacity and cam from b18/b20 can be used with b230/b21. But from pictures in google, my understanding is wrong. they look totally different.

B18/B20 are pushrod engines, B21/B23/B230 are overhead cam. The blocks share common architecture but there were a lot of changes. The auxiliary shaft in an overhead cam engine is for all intents and purposes a neutered pushrod camshaft put there to drive the distributor and oil pump.
