Default Power steering hose question

I need to make a new high pressure power steering hose to join my Volvo rack to a GM power steering pump. I have new hoses for both sides and need to join them in the middle.
I'm thinking for a temporary solution before I get a shop to make a correct hose I can use the two different ends and double hose clamp the hose to the steel line. Am I asking for trouble or? Will overlap the steel line about an 1' or so

Instead of a crimped fitting, I will use two hose clamps to join rubber line to hard line

High side pressure can approach 1000 psi. I wouldn't trust a splice to hold that kind of pressure.

Have one made at the tractor store. Inexpensive and effective. It will blast the 'temporary fix' before you get to turn the wheel.

What he said. $40-60 for a custom hose that won't leave you stranded is pretty cheap.
