I figured I'd ask before climbing into the dash. Is the backlight for the ambient temp gauge on a 1995 944t non-serviceable? Since it appears to be some type of crystal display that the light is integrated into the unit and has to be replaced as a unit. I figure I'll check for power coming from the light switch too. But if it's only serviceable as a unit checking this is going to the bottom of the list of things to work on.

You can change the bulb in it. Take out the cluster and you can access it.

Here's a photo when I replaced the unit with a boost gauge.

OK so I pulled that out today and found that this bulb is a bulb/socket unit. I hunted around and found one in my stash to replace it. Now my question is, is there a way to fit a a two piece light(like the idiot lights in the dash)? If not does anyone have a source for these? I checked FCP, IPD and a few others, but had no luck.
