Default White 240's with black hoods

Anyone out the got a white 240 with a black hood? I'm interested to see what it would look like, especially with black GTA wheels. Cheers

Man I meet like half those requirements

Paint the hood white, it's the most bothersome thing about this car. 2004 TB it was the move but the market has shifted these are now $20k cars

If you paint it black, don’t rattlecan it. Do faux carbon fiber or blue and purple pearl wrx black and glossy clear, or satin motorcycle case paint, or a super dark indigo or cobalt.
Better yet, just paint the entire car in a great color, avoiding cliche ideas.

Get the jackstands you plan on using for the car for the next decade first, then match that color.

The idea of a black hood is to reduce reflection/glare from the sun. Matte is the way to go.

Everybody knows the reason you have a black flathood is because you're too TB broke to actually paint it.

Kind of embarrassing, but I painted my 242 with these cans like 7 years ago. I'm working towards my end goal of a decent HVLP paint job now, but this paint actually held up pretty well all that time. It certainly kept the weather off my body panels

Hard to beat those 99¢ HD rattle cans though.

And as an added bonus it oxidizes to a nice glare free charcoal color in 10 months.

I have a potentially stupid question: What black center caps are those with your Virgos?

not a stupid question. They don't have caps in this photo. Those are just my grease caps. Now I have 850 caps on them. They match the powder coat pretty well.

It was a silly choice to paint it black, but there were multiple areas that needed to be covered quickly. That and I was VERY poor at the time. All in all, definitely not worth it. Pay the extra $$$ to get good paint that you are 100% happy with, or you'll regret it. Now I have an extra layer to strip down....

POR15 is not good for any surface that can flex - like a hood. Great for heavy gauge components or rigid panels with no flex potential. Floor pans, hoods, not so much, it will crack if there is any induced flex.

The great thing about .99c spray paint is that you can just keep a few cans & respray any areas that get rubbed/worn. I ran my X1/9 with that same paint for a couple years after doing the wide body conversion, until I was ready to cut it back & paint
