What are your plans for hangers on the aluminum sections?
It took me a while to realize you swapped in the BMW chassis, turns out I was too lazy to read the first post.

Stainless band clamps with the hanger welded to them.

I’m using intercooler piping kits and they came with like 400 clamps.

Got a little more if the back half done. Went as thin as possible to get under the crossmember/axle.

They?re universal eBay fender mirrors. They?re only good for blind spots. You can?t see directly down the side of the car. i.e. while backing into a parking spot they can?t be used to align with the stripes. You can?t see behind the car. Only out at an angle. I just got used to it.
 
Dumb little detail that no one will probably ever notice, but I gold powder coated the lug nuts to match the factory gold anodized hood letters.

Getting started on the muffler. I’m gonna work on the car all weekend to try and get the exhaust buttoned up.

Aluminum portion of the exhaust weighs 15 lbs, so I went from 60.5 to 28.5 total. Don’t know what it sounds like just yet. I’m about 90? worth of weld on the last joint from being done and ran out of argon.

The hangers look great. Slick idea with combining 2 clamps.
I bet that exhaust will sound great. It's really hard to describe how much different it sounds compared to a stainless setup.

Imgur doesn't keep audio for any uploads I think; Unless there's another reason for avoiding YT, you can just change the video to 'unlisted'.

Guess the resonator wasn’t as straight as I thought. That’s what happens when you’re laying under a car on jack stands.
 
After driving the car just a bit here and there with the new exhaust, I find it interesting that it sounds a lot like a motorcycle. I don’t know if that’s an E30 thing, or if it’s cause of the aluminum, but it sounds just like a superbike (of course it doesn’t rev as fast).

I have absolutely no idea how many miles this thing has, so I HAVE to do a timing belt.
