It'll buff out? 242

Thats the plan for this winter. I've moved to a bigger garage so I've actually got room to play with it, so hopefully body work this winter and paint in the spring.

I'd be lying if I told you I didn't drag a car with chains to pull a panel out. My ex-father in-law show me on a tree once, got to love back yard fixes. Looks like you are off to a good start though. You can come do my wagon when your done with your car, its already stripped down and ready for repairs/paint, lol!

Old Iron, I don't think you would like my pace. LOL

I've been looking at the trim clips and at the BSM at wondering the best way to release it.
I'm afraid mine might be on tighter due to it being twisted in the accident. I want to try my hand at saving it. (good luck finding another) It looks like the old push up, pull back type.
Is that correct?

And..... while I am collecting knowledge, ideas for a replacement muffler? Not at all interested in the rice burner loud exhaust but am interested in a sporty tone.
Thanks in advance!

Could always do the usual 240 turbo exhaust with an adapter where the resonator is mounted, a la iPd sport exhaust. It's a bit louder, but not obnoxious.

Also didn't RWC have skinny trim for sale?

140 & early 240 Stainless Steel Side Trim

I see, only all stainless. Well that won't help. Good luck saving the old one.

Yes, but I have only owned 79,80 and 81s. I only remembered that you had some "skinny" trim for sale and not the detail of it being just stainless. Can't keep track of everyones stuff.

Trim came off nicely. Not use to that. Oddly straight. Might just work out. If I don't wreck it.
Thanks for the exhaust info!

....and hair dryer works well to heat things up without worrying about paint-blistering-plastic-melting heat that heat guns are capable of.

Round one went well. I'm happy. Possibly round two tomorrow.
