In my case, I had a bad reman ECU right outta the box. It would run fine for a while and then an injector driver would crap out and that cylinder would be a dead misfire.
The test lamp would blink at first, but then when it started missing, I would no longer be able to get the test lamp to blink between B+ and the misfiring cylinders injector control circuit.
I worked with a guy whom used a SnapOn LED test lamp for almost ALL his electrical diag. LED lamps will trigger on low voltage circuits such as 5v circuits. A LED test lamp would be great in these old Volvo's for confirming a good 5v square wave signal from the EZK to the powerstage.
