I am seriously considering Cardone's from OReillys. They're $220 each, but I can get them for substantially cheaper. They're not the factory brembo's, but unless I find another set close to $500, that's the route I will be going.

Do it! ...and if they are good get me a set as well!

Do you run a 8.8" rearaxel on this on also?:)
What boltpattern did you use when you had that axel?
Ive been thinking about replacing the Volvo axel with something stronger but I whant to keep the Volvo bolt pattern..

Yes it is a 8.8, I had the axles redrilled to 5x112 which is my rim size. You could easily do 5x108. I eventually want to just run 5x114 front and rear.

Okei, nice:)
How much shortening does the Axel need? And are the diffs good/do you get good diffs for these Axels for reasonble prices?:)

just the housing needs to be shortend, you then use two stock passenger side axles, the diffs are amazing for the price, I think i have $250 in mine total!
well I drove the car for the first time with the new body. I made no adjustments to the rear suspension since it came from the same car (242) and retained the same ride height. as soon as I hit a bump the tire hit the lip and pulled it 90*, it cut my tire pretty deep but o well! I adjusted the rear end farther back in the arhc and rolled the front of the lips as well now. Im hoping the rear brakes start to wear normal, this was maybe a 1/8th mile drive before this BS happend!

Those rear trailing arms look awesome!!Kaplhenke has some very nice products:)
Does it make alot of difference on the driving abilities compared to reinforced original ones?

And is your exhaust going under the rear axel?Have some pics of it in that case?:)

The rear true coilover conversion was a massive improvement!

Under axle exhaust with loads of clearance everywhere.
Best pics I have of my old 242gt now the full bannanas car
The new body retaines the spare tire wells so some tweeking was done

haha thanks, its a blast to drive although 1st and 2nd almost never have full traction thats mostly to blame on my 10yr old tires. Today in a search to cure my serpetine belt throwing and cutting I installed a Katech tensioner, on lstech everyone raves about them so im hoping this fixes it. I also found my dirty dingo alternator mount to be flexing so I ordered both alper mounts like you did^ Im hoping this all cures it because that was way to much money to blow that i already spent once, nothing annoys me more than buying the same part twice!
